A feedback that nobody wants to hear

There are two kind of feedbacks, One that you should keep it for yourself and the one you shouldn’t give but you give it anyway.
Lot of people have talked about how to take on bad criticisms and feedbacks, but nobody tells you how to give a good one. I am not going to tell you either.
Giving great feedback is an art in itself. It is very difficult to give a great feedback especially in creative work.
Giving a bad feedback can easily poison the project and demotivate the person who is getting your feedback.
Most people believe that are good critic and they believe that they are honest and they want to say whatever they think, so people start running away from them.
Sometimes you think that you know it well. you are the right person to give the feedback, but you may not know.
You think how can you run the project in a positive way or you make the other people think “Why did they agree to work in this project with you?”.
Sometimes people say “I want a fresh design. What does fresh mean?”.
You need to be specific. Detailing matters.
Give me a something,
“I’ll know what I need, when I see it” is equal to “I have no idea about this project”
Some questions to ask yourself before you give feedback:
-
Does your feedback is aligning towards the goal of the project?
-
Do you give feedback based on your biased assumptions?
-
Do you really have empathy when you give your honest feedback?
